Today we are thankful and Andy and Alice passed down their Geo-Trax to us! Paige and I played with them all afternoon, she loved it and it was a great distraction from the cold snowy weather outside our window! We changed out the batteries on a couple trains and we were amazed how fast they were when fully charged!
After a while she wanted the trains to drive on the carpet, but only the blue train was up for the task. She cheered for all of them in hopes that her cute high pitched voice would help, only the blue one crawled slowly across the carpet. She was annoyed that they wouldn't do what she wanted so she quickly moved them back to the track.

Independent play...
Paige has been pretty good about playing independently these days, yesterday I found her with this set up.
Her only frustration was trying to get the bottle put together...apparently she was feeding the horses on her merry-go-round. She has a great imagination and amazes me sometimes. Sidenote: I love that she can wear a ponytail in her hair now, there's something about it that makes her look so much older!

No more gummy bears!
We are no longer bribing Paige with "gummy bears" after she goes potty! I decided the other day that it needed to end, the only time she ever asked for them was when she went to the bathroom on the main floor potty. She asked and I simply said "we don't have any, daddy took them to work"...she was upset and cried for a bit and then got over it. Every once in a while she'll whine and say "why did daddy take my special treat to work". I'm so glad that is in the past, it's the little things that make my day!

Happy Helper!
Paige has been such a great helper lately! She loves to have the extra responsibility of helping me clean, turn off the lights, make her bed and help put away the groceries.

She has grown up so much over the last couple months and since potty training she has turned into such a big girl. I'm proud of her and amazed by how quickly this little girl can change and grow. Kids really do grow up fast, everyone tells you and it's true...in the blink of an eye they change and grow! I'm so glad that I decided to be a stay at home mom, it's a hard job but the reward of seeing her turn into such a great little person is amazing!

Sledding!
Today it was 25 degrees and the sun was shining! Days like that have been few and far between this winter. We took advantage and went for a nature walk, feed the birds, made snow angels and went sledding. It felt so good to get some fresh air! Paige had a ball on her sled, that's a big change since the beginning of winter. She used to whine and cry about playing on her sled but after forcing her down the small hill she realized how fun it was! Here she is in action!

Minnie Mouse!
Paige got a new pal today, her name is Minnie Mouse! Her cousins brought Minnie home from their trip to Disney World. Paige is in love, Minnie has become her "best friend"...they do EVERYTHING together and they even sleep together!
Paige taught her how to put a puzzle together last night and even introduced her to all her babies!
