Cookies with a toddler...

Making cookies with a toddler is much different then I expected. I had the idea to do it as a family, thinking it would be a good tradition to start. It was funny, and I flopped on making the dough so our sugar cookies were not cut into shapes (except for 2 snowman). That was ok though, we still had fun and Paige loved licking the batter. Our cookies may not have been perfect but the time together was fun, looking forward to many more years of cookie baking with Ryan and Paige!

P.S. It was a two day process...one day to bake them and a second day to frost them. That's when you  know you have a busy toddler...ha..ha..ha...

Christmas Play

We had a fun night, we were invited to watch Andy and Alice at their church Christmas production. It was adorable, they both did a great job and Alice even had a speaking part! Paige was amazed by Alice's angel costume and told me that she wants to be an angel like Alice when she's a big girl. They sang songs and Paige listened and watched so well. It's fun that she's old enough to be entertained by something so special. We gathered for dinner after, Andy and Alice told us about how nervous (or not nervous) they were, then Alice led me down to her mom's office to sneak a piece of candy. What a fun night! I'm so proud of both of them and amazed that they are old enough to perform in such a great production, it seemed like just yesterday that they were Paige's age! Where does the time go?

P.S. Paige's buddy Abby was there too, Paige loves "reading" Abby's blog so it was fun to see her in person!

Paige and Abby, waiting for the show to start!

Paige's cousin Alice was one of the beautiful angels!

Seriously, this is the cutest picture...can you tell Paige adores her big cousin Alice!

Snowman Family...

It's a weird weather day, it's raining instead of snowing...but that makes for great snowman making weather. Paige and Ryan went out for a while to make a family of snowman, it's so cute to look out the back window and see their artwork. I know MN winters are cold and I complain about them, but times like this make me smile and warm my heart! I am lucky to have such a great husband and Paige is lucky to have such a great daddy!

12.12.12

Ok, I know I'm a few days late...I have no idea where the time went this week? We had a fun night celebrating uncle Pat's birthday on 12.12.12! It was a pizza kind of night, all kinds of pizza...even dessert pizza! Paige was wild, talking and being a goof...she loves her uncle Pat!!
Happy Birthday to a wonderful big brother, I am lucky to have you!!

Paige's friend Avery...

Paige and I were able to spend time with her little buddy Avery yesterday! Paige was in heaven and LOVED holding Avery "all by herself" as she would say. By the end of our time Paige was practically laying on top of Avery...so I guess there's a lot to be learned about real babies for Paige. It was adorable to see the love in her eyes and the cute little high pitch voice she used to talk to Avery, not to mention the fact that she sang "away in the manger" to her. She's a gentle sweet 2 year old who loves babies (just like her mama)!
