For those of you that don't know, I'm sort of a stickler about Paige having sugary sweets. For one, she gets a little to crazy after eating sugar and it's usually followed by constant begging for treats and huge fits. I figure it's easier to avoid the treats all together because we both feel better and plus, she doesn't need all that junk, right?
Well, today was the exception. It's hunting season and daddy is heading up north, we decided to make cookies and muffins to send along. Paige was in heaven and licked every last morsel off the beater, she sat quietly in her highchair for a good 25 minutes...that never happens. When the "treat" was gone the crying and weeping began. This was a good reminder for me :). It was fun while it lasted!

My little "bird watcher"...
She's actually looking for birds, squirrels, deer, kitty cats and pheasants...I kid you not! This is one of the first things she wants to do in the morning, pull up the shades and look for animals. She also wants to keep her sleep-sack on to stay warm. She cracks me up!
Oh, and she got some new slippers to keep her feet warm!

Corn Pit!
I remember going to this exact same corn pit with Andy and Alice when they were very little (Andy was probably even younger then Paige is now). On Friday I told Paige that we were going on an adventure, she loves when we do something fun and unexpected. What was truly unexpected was the temps, I didn't realize that it was only 39 degrees outside! The corn pit was in a large greenhouse, but that didn't bring much warmth. I did bring a hat for Paige and luckily she had warm clothes on under her jacket, I on the other hand was freezing! Anyway, it was so much fun to see her play in the corn pit. She could barely walk and was giggling about how often she fell, watching the twinkle in her eye as she was "running" through the corn was priceless. We can't wait to go back and bring daddy!

A couple pix of the fall leaves...
The kids had fun playing outside before Alice's birthday party. Who doesn't love jumping in a pile of leaves?
Alice's Birthday!
Happy 8th birthday to my sweet niece Alice! I still remember the day she was born, there was so much excitement swirling...the first grand-baby for all of us. I was going to ben an auntie and I was so excited! I remember seeing her beautiful little face for the first time and fighting back tears because I knew this sweet girl was so loved! She was perfect and still is! Her smile can light up a room and her sparkling blue eyes are beautiful. She's sweet, patient, kind and very creative! Paige adores her big cousin Alice, and Alice is a wonderful role-model to my precious girl! Alice, thanks for bringing so much joy to our entire family - you are an amazing girl! We love you!
