Donuts

Well, it's really happening...the baby is coming on Friday! Ryan, Paige and I took a little trip to the bakery in Elk River today, how could I turn down a donut when my belly already looks like I've had a few to many. You can get a good view of how big I really am, this baby is going to be a big one (I think anyway). We enjoyed some family time doing the normal things, eating donuts, going to Target, going to story time at the library and just hanging out at home. I love my family and I can't wait until it's complete on friday. I dream about what our boy is going to look like, will he look like his sister? Will he look like his daddy or grandpa? It's so fun to think about how he's going to change our family, and yes...I'm tired just thinking about it too! I'm grateful that Ryan will be home for a couple weeks after peanut arrives, I know I'll need the help!

Tree fort

Paige and Ryan are building a tree fort in the back woods. I think Ry's going through withdrawals of deer hunting, this might be his way of making a mini deer stand! I'm grateful he's home to play with Paige so that I can rest a bit. Plus, it's really cold outside and I don't have a winter jacket big enough to fit around my growing belly!
We had conferences for Paige today and we heard all good things! We just need to work with her on using her scissors more and starting to write some letters. Sounds like she's doing great, we're very proud!

38 Weeks and counting...

Well, here I am...and I'm HUGE! I'm feeling pretty uncomfortable these days, tired during the days and can't sleep through the night. This baby boy is on the move, I have no idea how such a big baby thinks he can still do gymnastics in such a small space. I only pray I can keep up with him on the outside world :)! Less than a week to go and wondering if he'll come early, things are progressing and yet I know that doesn't mean much. The doc said he thinks he's at least an 8lb baby right now, I wonder if he'll be bigger than his sister, she was almost 9lbs...only time will tell. I'd rather he wait until Friday, and yet I have anxiety of my water breaking in the middle of the night and making a mad rush to the hospital for my c-section. I guess it's out of my hands, God has a plan and I can only prepare to the best of my ability...easier said than done :).
We are so excited and a bit shocked that in less than a week we'll be holding our sweet boy and his big sister will be so excited for him to FINALLY be here!

Paige's house

Paige is one lucky kid! Grandma and Grandpa used the box from their new washing machine to build her a house. It turned out so cute, and after all was said and done she said "thank you grandma and grandpa, this is the best house I've ever had". I see lots of playing in the house on her visits to grandma and grandpa! Maybe Uncle Pat can stay in her house since he's sold his house :)?!?

Let It Snow!

Look who talked her daddy into taking her out to play in the snow at 6:45am! Thanks Ryan, you're way more fun that I am these days! Her biggest excitement was looking out the window this morning and seeing the white stuff, followed by the deer eating in the back yard. As she begged Ryan to take her outside, the number one thing she wanted to do was eat snow!

10 Days!

I can't believe it, 10 days till the arrival of our little guy! I'm ready and yet I'm not. I'm ready to have my body back and yet I'm not. It's such a weird feeling, right know I know he's safe and sound inside me...when he comes out it will be a whole new world!
Paige has been acting up a bit, she knows things are changing and that mommy can't chase her anymore!
So, know we wait...and wait! We're so excited!
